17th October 2009
Get ready for 12 hours of mountain biking on a loop track which includes sea cliffs over the Pacific, stands of native scrub, some steep gullies, rolling tussock farmland and the odd mean climb...
All this for only $65 per rider or $25 per supporter
You'll get an awesome race and clearly marked course where you can ride hard, or soak up the sun and views out to sea, there will be water at lap start/finish, medical support, music, a cash BBQ, camping Saturday night, party afterwards and a bonfire on the beach.
You'll need to bring food, sports drink, a bike, warm clothing for riding, tools, spare parts, lights for the last couple of hours, a tent, sleeping bag, towel, toothpaste (brush optional as long as your breath smells good), change of clothes, jacket, sunscreen, camera, some cash for the BBQ, Sunday breakfast porridge, a massage, or some locally produced drinks...
